Road Trip

A few weeks ago Pookie and I went to Santa Barbara for the weekend to visit a friend. We were just getting onto the 154 around sunset when we saw the most perfect road for some shots. After hurriedly turning my car into a makeup studio and dressing her in a wrinkled dress (it had been stuffed into a corner of my suitcase), we managed to get a couple of good ones before the sun went down. Mercedes

Last week I did a shoot for Mercedes, a senior who's going to MBHS this year. She and her best friend, Brittany, took Pookie and myself out to a new location on the way to Arroyo Grande. The four of us had so much fun :) Here are some of the photos:

Pookie - Downtown

Pookie and I have been trying out lots of different shoots recently. One of the latest ones was downtown SLO; here are some shots from it! :)

Katherine

Katherine is going to be a senior this year at Morro Bay High School. She wanted some of her senior photos to have a country edge to them, so we went ventured out to Turri Road to get those shots. After that, we went to the creek in SLO, and an oaks nature reserve.

Destinee

One of my really close friends, Destinee, and I went to shoot her senior photos last weekend. We started in Los Osos and worked our way to Atascadero, where we drove by a run down barn that looked like photo heaven :) After talking to the owner of the property, we had a great time taking her photos as well as playing around with our artsy opportunities.

Pookie!

I'm lucky enough to have a gorgeous and very photogenic best friend who likes to help me out with photoshoots, from modeling to thinking up crazy ideas for new shoots. Thanks Pookie :)

Linsey

A while back, a friend of mine, Linsey, wanted to put together a modeling portfolio and needed some shots taken. Linsey and I went around Morro Bay and Los Osos to various nature spots, including Turri Road and one of the horse stables here. Here are a few of the shots we got:

Pohnpei

This summer my family and I went to Pohnpei, Micronesia where my family has a hotel (www.thevillagehotel.com). We spent a few weeks there, spending time with cousins and having a blast. Between manta ray visits and hiking Sokehs Rock (the equivalent of Morro Rock), I managed to get a few shots.

Sunsets

Most of these were taken down in Baywood (in Los Osos) by the pier - we get breathtaking sunsets every once in a while, when the fog clears up. A few of the others were taken out of town. Enjoy :)

Knowles Wedding

In June, I shot a wedding for Tom and Tanya Knowles at the Monday Club in SLO. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Knowles :)

Hey everyone! I'm an amateur photographer with my sights set on a career in photography. I've recently graduated from Morro Bay High School and am attending Cuesta College in the fall, and Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara after a year or two at Cuesta. This blog is to share my work and get feedback, so please comment! :)
